Solomon holds a BSME from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Idaho. He joined PDT in late 2017 as an intern while studying at PSU. His responsibilities increased in 2018 when he joined PDT full-time as the only member of the mechanical engineering team. He now leads a team of three at PDT as Sensor Engineering Manager. Solomon has been directly involved in numerous milestones in the development of PDT’s glucose-sensing cannula and the surrounding glucose- sensing infusion set that together make up PDT’s core product. Some of these milestones include the rollout of the production process to make PDT’s sensing cannulas on a small scale, the waterproofing of the electrical connection between sensing cannula and electronics, and the design of PDT’s first sensor insertion system used with human study participants.
